About Us

The Caribbean Trade Council seeks to promote trade between Connecticut and the Caribbean. Its intent and purpose is to create more jobs in the State of Connecticut and Caribbean through increased business, thus improving our respective economies.

The Trade Council’s exclusive purpose is to assist suppliers and consumers with all the necessary information and tools to either expand their exporting business or to assist in getting them started in the exporting business.

The Trade Council will help you identify end users for your product and assist you in the proper procedures to become an exporter or importer.

  • The Caribbean Trade Council was founded in 2004.
  • The organization is the CARIBBEAN TRADE COUNCIL  (the council) and is referred to herein as the ”Council”
  • The purpose of the council is to promote trade and economic cooperation between the Greater Hartford Regional Districts and the Caribbean Countries.
  • The council is a non profit business and trade association formed to promote trade and economic cooperation through partnership with public and private entities to achieve the broad reaching objectives.

Our mission of the Caribbean Trade Council is to promote trade, tourism and economic cooperation between the Metro-Hartford and the Caribbean Islands.

Develop and strengthen relationships between the Caribbean islands and their Diaspora, who resides in the Metro Hartford Region. To encourage investment opportunities, while deepening a collaboration and facilitating the growth, of the City of Hartford’s economic development efforts with the Caribbean islands.
